Mixed saunas
I've decided to make a page to give some information about mixed saunas in the province of Quebec because i know it's needed since their is a lot of people that stumble upon this site while searching that kind of information over the Internet.
Firstly, we should not assume that mixed saunas (or better yet said "saunas for heterosexuals") are functionning the same way as gays saunas. No. In most gays saunas, we pay a fee to enter that give us usage of a small room or a locker and then we are free to do almost anything we want anywhere we want (as long as it is legal and reasonable). But in mixed saunas, maybe because there is ladies around, there are places where we must know to stay well-behave. In fact, sexuality seems to be welcomed only inside of privates rooms or some special public room provided for that.
Sadly i am unable to talk out of experience. Indeed, even though i know of many mixed saunas in Montreal, we will never see me in one of them as long as they won't become more "open". Indeed, their pricing is really discriminatory toward of men that doesn't come with a woman. It seems the "mixed" word is refering only to the fact that both men and woman can get in there and not to the diversity of sexual orientations. What a pity. I could have explored my small bisexual side in a place like that.
So, i can only tell you what i know of mixed sauna from my research on the Internet, on their websites or from others medias. It as been said that thoses places might serve of shelter for some woman doing "the oldest profession in the world", like we say in french. At first that could seems chocking but rest assured that they really are better to stay in a place like that than out on the street. The reason why this might be happening is that women who comes there alone can enter for free in somes places and a low price in others (after getting a membership card if they dont have it yet). It's a bit like students and gays saunas ; they get a 50% discount after showing their student card.
Despites theses few things that i blame them of, mixed saunas are still a very interesting for heterosexual couples that might need to explore new things, to spice up their life, exchange with others couples, etc. All that's left is to hope that someday mixed sauna owner philosophy evolves into something a bit better if that is possible. Yet we must not forgot that the simple fact of having mixed saunas in Quebec is already a big improvement.
So here a list of the mixed saunas in Montreal:
1) Le 1082: It's the first mixed sauna of the town. But to tell the truth, it's more than just a sauna. It also has a bar and a nightclub. Woman that are alone can comme in free of charge. The rooms can be rent on a per hour basis. Yearly membership card are required to be buyed. See their website for more informations. The site offer a forum.
2) Le 3333: This place was a gay sauna at first.. It's now a mixed sauna and they say that they are the prettier and the biggest in town. Membership card required. 10 $ for woman that comes alones. The price variate between the week and the weekend for couples and men that are alones. Their website also offer a forum.
3) Le Sauna Verdun: It's supposed to be located on the Manning and Verdun corner. I dont know anything more yet. They dont seems to have a website. It was the guide of the QcBoy site who said it was a mixed sauna. HamakBob think that it's only because the management choose to also offer bisexual videos in the place. There's also one in the town of Quebec:
1) Le Club l'Euro: On their website, they certify that there aren't any prostitution taking place there but since like most sauna mixed they offer free access to woman that comes alone...
